Last week I photographed Richard Majestic's 1936 McMurdo Silver Masterpiece V.  Generally my product photography is focused on modern products but here it was focused on a beautiful chrome radio from 1963.  The all chrome box which surrounded the radio created quite a challenge to photograph due to its mirror like quality.  When viewed directly from the front it was no different than looking directly into a mirror. To pull this shot off a series of photographs were taken to capture different elements with in the same frame. Those separate images would then be composited later.

The top left image was photographed for the wood and glass panel. The top right image was shot for the chrome box and reflective dials. The bottom left was shot for the ambient "green eye" light of the radio. The bottom right is the final composite of the three previous photographs - creating a single photograph which would be impossible to photograph in one shot.
